My sincere sympathy to all of you on Mary's death! I read the notice in the Globe and Mail here in Vancouver and wanted to write to let you know that I have such fond memories of Mary and Walter (or Mr and Mrs Joyce as we called them) at Glebe United Church. The obituary describes Mary exactly as I knew her.
I also wanted to let you know that my mother, Margaret MacLean, really liked your mother and considered her a real friend, a great travel companion and a wonderful supporter of Glebe Church.
For sure she was a woman who had a life well-lived.
