SHIRLEY MAY POUNSETT

(nee Roome)

Died peacefully at home with her daughters by her side on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, in her 83rd year.  Predeceased by her loving husband Donald Frank (2015).  Adored mother of Hillary Victoria Frances (Hugh McKee) and Elizabeth Lillian MacLean (Alex Boyd).  Adored and adoring Mimi to Sean, Ian and Madeleine McKee, and Charlotte and Henry Boyd.  Predeceased by her brother Jack Roome.  Loving daughter of Lillian (nee Spiceley) and Frederick Roome.  Although she ultimately succumbed to breast cancer, she lived life to its fullest, taking immense joy in her grandchildren and daughters, travelling with her husband, and creating art just about anywhere.  We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Oncology and Palliative Care teams at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, LHIN, Saint Elizabeth Health Care and Eldercare Home Health Inc.

The family will receive friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home A.W. Miles – Newbigging Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 14^th.  Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel.
