Bill Trusler was a classmate (U of T Medicine 1954) and fraternity brother (Nu Sigma Nu). I remember him as a very friendly person, a championship swimmer, and a good downhill skier. My wife Alison and I enjoyed good times with Bill and Carol in the early years. They moved to London where Bill had a successful career as a radiologist, and we settled in Mississauga where I did family practice. We did see each other over the years at class reunions and fraternity events, and kept in touch through mutual friends David and Marlene Smith. Alison and I planned to attend Bill's Celebration of Life tomorrow at Rosedale United Church, but it now appears that the predicted unusually severe weather will prevent our doing so. We extend our sincere sympathy to the Trusler family, and will make a memorial donation in Bill's memory to the Sinai Health Foundation. - Reg Perkin

Bill Trussler was entering his 50th year as a member of The Caledon Mountain Trout Club which without doubt was an incentive for him to keep going and join only three other members achieving this distinction. He will be much missed with his cheery smile, always a welcome and his enthusiasm for times at Caledon. Dinners together, family stories, family members visiting are just a part of the legacy Bill leaves us. And so as we say good bye to a wonderful Doctor, Husband,Father, Brother and very good friend to all we send our sympathy to all Trusslers in the loss of Bill.
