Dear children of Janet and Joe,
Your mother was a wonderful, warm, talented and generous woman, who loved all of you with passion. I was privileged to spend many hours with her at the Club, on and off the ice, and in the costume loft.
A high point in our relationship were the several hours my husband and I spent on the ice in the evenings as your mother tied to interest Joe in ice dancing, her passion. As you know, that attempt was a miserable failure.
I regret that we will be unable to attend the memorial on Saturday. My husband and I now live out of town.
We will be thinking of all of you.
