My brother Jim Keffer and Bob Ginn were great friends when Bob's parents had a cottage on Belmont Lake. They allowed me to go with them on adventures to Silver Island and treated me, younger by a few years, with great kindness and it was fun. I remember those days with fond memories of the Ginn Family who had the cottage on the point.
Sincerely,
Louise Ferriman

Our sincere condolences to you and your family on Bob's passing. We have so many remembrances of his leadership and extra effort in many projects at St. George's United. And it was always a pleasure to run into you or Bob on our walks along Glencairn Ave.
I have lost a dedicated fellow Queen's Science friend, even though I was class of Sc.'51.
We are so sorry that we are unable to attend the service today.

I was very sad to hear of Bob's passing. I have many, wonderful memories of working for and with Bob, in Cobalt, in the Timmins area, at Espanola and in northwestern Quebec. Bob made great contributions to the geology of Ontario through his work with the Ontario Geological Survey and he was responsible for the advancements of many mineral exploration projects all the way across the country. He had the ability to recognize, important, new mineral areas and he was then able to direct excellent work to explore those situations. He was also a wonderful communicator, and motivator and a great manager.
I would like to extend my heart felt condolences to the members of the Ginn family.

I knew Robert for only i short time when we were both involved with Viking Gold Exploration. I was impressed with what a nice, kind and considerate gentleman he was.
I was saddened to read of his passing and I can only imagine your own heartfelt loss. My condolences to you all.

Dear Ginn Family,
I am Neil MacMillan from the MacMillan cottage at Long Point. I was sorry to read of your loss. I met Mr. Ginn a few times over the years and was always impressed at how friendly and kind he was.
The last time we met was probably at my father's funeral years ago. It is sad to know that Long Point has lost another.
Please accept my condolences at this time.
Yours Truly,

Dr Ginn was a man who was always kind, greeting people with warmth and a lovely smile. The world is duller without him in it. My condolences to his wonderful wife Dorothy, his children, grandchildren and all those who cared for him.

We are saddened by the news of Robert's passing. The Ginns have been in and out of our lives for 65 years so came to know him well. His passing is a great loss to the community and we extend our condolences to the family. We first met in Labrador in 1953 in our younger days!

I remember how generous Bob & Dorothy were with their time when I was researching the Afterword for Viola MacMillan's autobiography "From the Ground Up." There weren't a lot of people left in Toronto who had known her well for so long, so recording Bob & Dorothy's recollections from their welcoming living room was like striking gold.
Please accept my condolences to Dorothy and all the family.

Dr. Robert Ginn was a fine man.
I had the pleasure of first meeting Robert, back in the early 1980's, though my wife, Bettina Kuypers, who later worked with him at Sulpetro, St. Joes and Novamin in the drafting department. Twenty plus years later, Bettina and I both worked with Robert at Viking Gold.
Robert was a top geologist and a consummate professional. A great family man and well respected by all his peers. He will be greatly missed by all friends and family.
My sincerest condolences to Robert's extended family.

Dear Ginn Family:
Thinking of you after hearing of Dr. Robert's passing. Bob was always one of my favourite people at Longpoint- generous, kind, helpful, and open to the thoughts and feelings of all. It was a famous moment in our family history when Bob brought a little bit of dynamite down to our place to help us get through the bedrock and get a mailbox secured, way back in the late 70's! I'll always remember his 75th birthday party at the Mackenzie Inn, and the fine crowd assembled there.
All the best to the entire family- God bless!
