Chaviva,
Please accept our sincere condolences on Alan's passing, and the loss of your soulmate and equal partner. While it has been some time since we have seen you together, we will remember Alan's gentle nature, intellect, and insights as we discussed both forward-looking policy solutions to the world's challenges and day to day life. We always departed hopeful and invigorated.
We trust you have gained strength through these difficult months from your deep love, amazing memories, family, friends, and faith.
With much love,
Jan, Mark (Rudolph) and boys (Ben, Josh, and Jacob)

Geoff and I are saddened to hear of Alan’s passing. He was a great leader in the communications field and we enjoyed the results of his leadership at the Couch conferences. We are in Australia now otherwise would be there to celebrate his life with you in person. We hope the many great memories of your lives together will carry you through these difficult times. He was so very proud of you.
Love Katita

I am very sorry to hear about the passing of Alan. I send you sincere condolences.
I first meet Alan when working on the VIA Customer Service Program around 1983 for which he was the project coordinator, He always brought positive forward-thinking leadership to the project team.
It was my pleasure to reconnect with him as a member of the New Management Network and to know Alan.
Love and blessings to you,

Alan was a close colleague when we worked in PCO and FPRO, under Trudeau-the-Senior. He was a creative and intelligent man, whose loyalty -- even in tumultuous times -- never wavered. We spent many happy hours "solving" the problems of the world. Both from England, Alan and I shared the "immigrant experience". We worked on projects that required analysis and planning; Alan was brilliant at both. We also shared a dry sense of humour and I had great respect for him.

Dear Chaviva,
I am so sorry for your loss of Alan. I had heard his name over many years but never had met Alan until you introduced us in the hallway here at the School a couple of years ago. Even though it was a brief conversation, I came away with the impression of him as an open and gentle man. My thoughts are with you at this sad time. Take care.

Dear Chaviva,
Penny and I were shocked to hear of Alan's passing. Although we have not seen him for many years, we remember Alan as one with an extremely pleasant and engaging personality. He always had a wonderful smile that indicated a very caring and decent person who was a loving husband and your best friend. Please accept our deepest sympathy at this difficult time.
Your sincerely,
David and Penny

Sheridan and I are so deeply saddened to learn of Alan's passing. He was a special person in so many ways but, particularly, in the gentle and reasoned manner that he dealt with people and issues. His kindness was a starting point in any discussion which is why his contribution to the annual Couchiching Conference was such a remarkable annual event . He was a wonderful person and all of us who knew him were touched by his humanity. He will be very missed by all who knew him.

Chaviva,
I was so terribly sad to hear of Alan's passing from Mary and Peter. I know how much you loved him and what a great partner he was to you and you to him. I also know that you have lost your best friend and those do not come easy in life. Not many of us get great partners like Alan was to you and you to him but I know you will cherish what you built and accomplished together. While you had a beautiful life I know how challenging these last months and weeks must have been for you.
Please know that my thoughts are with you at this time.
Much love,
Terrie O'Leary
