Dear Jessica and Andrew: Susan and I are thinking of you this morning as you prepare to bid public farewell to your mother. We remember Margaret so well: her intelligence, her interests, her beautiful voice, her sense of humour. We stayed in touch over Christmas cards for many years and up until her 90th birthday, when Jessica had us call her and we had a long talk. She was always interested in what we were doing and full of news about herself and her family. She was such a magnificent partner to your father, and a dear faithful friend.
We're sorry we cannot make it to the service this morning from Kingston, but we understand she will be buried next to Bill in Wakefield sometime later. Let us know when that will be, if it is open to the public, and we will try and connect then. In the meantime, all the best to you and know we are with you and all who loved her in spirit.
