Obituary of Michael Harold Jones

JONES, Michael (Trout) Harold

August 21, 1957 – January 27, 2018

Born in London, England, Michael always marched to a different drummer.  As a toddler, he heroically rescued his younger brother from a two-inch deep, decorative pond in their front yard.  He penned his first novel, “The Red Roosdr” at age five.  Piano lessons from Mrs. Crabtree launched a song-writing career that stretched from high school band Breakwind to the release of his CD “Karen’s Legs.”  In later life he was most at home in Kensington Market, whether trading record albums and other collectibles or buzzing about on his mobility scooter.  Trout’s stubborn disposition was coupled with an iconoclastic sense of humour.  Friends benefited from his generosity.  He is fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

Survived by daughter Ana, devoted mother C. Ann, brothers Andrew (Linda) and Neil, and sister Debbie.  Predeceased by father R.H. and brother Evan.
