COOKE, Beverly (nee Willoughby)
1949-2018
Passed away peacefully, at her home in Port Dalhousie (St. Catharines) on Thursday, January 25, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beverly Willoughby was born in 1949 in Toronto to the late Bertram Elmore Willoughby and the late Evelyn Willoughby. Survived by her loving children, Andrew Brady, Colleen Boldon (nee Brady), and Guy Cooke; her sister Diane MacLeod (nee Willoughby); grandchildren Sophie, Henry, Guerin, Conlan, and Cliana.
Beverly attended Branksome Hall and went on to be a Kindergarten Educational Assistant at both Blythwood and Rosedale Junior Public schools. After a successful career, Beverly spent time with family, friends, and visiting Cuba, a country she dearly loved.
A special thank you from the family to all of her loving and kind caregivers (our guardian angels). Beverly will be remembered as a generous, adventurous, loving mother, grandmother, and friend. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES – NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30th. A Celebration of Life will take place in the chapel on Wednesday, January 31st at 11 o’clock. Reception to follow in the Rosedale Room.
