Obituary of Brian Wilkinson

WILKINSON, Dr. Brian

1947 – 2018

Born August 8, 1947 in Toronto to Ada Wilkinson (nee Culshaw) and Cyril Wilkinson.  Died peacefully at home in Toronto on Monday, January 22, 2018 after succumbing to brain cancer.  Brian will be greatly missed by his wife Barbara Mitchell Wilkinson (nee McCulloch), and his children Lorianne, Christina and Sarah, granddaughter Emma, as well as his brother Graydon, nephews Graydon, namesake Brian and great-nephews and great-nieces.

A graduate of the University of Toronto, York University, Wilfred Laurier University, and Ottawa University (D.Phil), Brian had more diplomas than wall space (although this is due more to the amount of art on the walls than the size of the condo).  Member of the Arts & Letters Club of Toronto and the Faculty Club at the University of Toronto.  Brian was a summer baby who hated winter.  He was a life-long learner and a long-time member of the A.R.E., a voracious reader, and an amateur expert in all things military.  He loved computer games, touring on motorcycles, South Korean television series and the Gilmore Girls, and was generous to a fault.  The bottom line is he loved his life and his family, and he passed on confident that we would all be together again one day.

The family will receive friends for a memorial gathering at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W.
