My condolences on Jim's passing. I'd gotten to know Jim well over the last ten years, as I have been bringing my students to visit the veterans at Sunnybrook, and Jim met with them on several occasions. He was a great storyteller, and he will continue to be, as we will be able to see/hear his stories moving forward -http://www.crestwood.on.ca/ohp/jim-eddy/. A great man and Canadian - I am honoured to have met him.

I just wanted to add to my sister's condolences.
I was privileged to accompany Mr. Eddy and my father to a reunion of their Squadron in 2003 which was held at their Air Base in Yorkshire, England.
Mr. Eddy was a great companion full of humour and stories and it was great to see them both reliving g their experiences 60 years after their experiences and also receiving the recognition that they earned because of their sacrifices.

I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Eddy was a great friend to my Dad, John Elliott, a fellow RCAF veteran. When Dad’s health was failing it was Mr. Eddy who made sure he could get to those famous Wednesday lunches with the gang. They also, along with my brother John had a great trip to England together.

Dear family:
We are so sorry for your loss at this time.
James had a contagious smile! He was a proud man and he always made you feel welcome and comfortable at Sunnybrook. He took the time and energy to listen to others. Jim enjoyed speaking to his fellow Veterans, students, and family members. He loved to have small celebrations and good conversations with his mates over sampling "old cheddar and crackers" and perhaps a game of cribbage.
He spoke so highly of his wife and children. During our community outings to UnionVille, James would show the group his old neighbourhood. He loved to share these moments of his past.
It was a pleasure to get to know your father and to have the opportunity to work with him during his time at Sunnybrook.
James enjoyed life! He will be missed.
Hugs,
Dave, Andrea, Zachary, Faye Bosma
