Obituary of Keith Cresswell Pilley

KEITH CRESSWELL PILLEY, B. COM.
1923 – 2017

 

Predeceased by parents Henry C. and Ethel (Roseborough) Pilley.  Keith had great admiration for his father, who as a 10-year-old Bernardo Boy came to Canada, where he had a very happy successful life.

 

Dearly beloved husband of Margaret (nee McConnell) for 68-years filled with happiness and mutual devotion.

 

Dear father of Gordon Pilley (Valerie) and Kathleen Higgins (Campbell).

 

Loved and loving Poppa of Matthew Pilley (Gitte) and their sons Junior and Senzo in Denmark; Stephanie Correia (Jeffery) and their daughters Sophie and Isabella; Kristie McEachnie (Marc) and their children Avery and Benjamin.  Douglas Rowan, Jackson and Katie Higgins.

 

Keith was born in North Bay and graduated from St. Andrews College and The University of Toronto and was a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity.  He was a dedicated employee of Royal Trust for 24-years and retired as Executive Vice President.  He served on the Boards of St. Andrew College and Trent University.

 

A memorial service will be held at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES – NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) on Friday, December 22 at 11:00 a.m.  A reception will take place following the service in the Rosedale Room.  Flowers gratefully declined.  If desired, a donation to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
