I will miss taking your father to his Sunday service at the veterans chapel. I enjoyed the conversations we had to/from the chapel as we discussed our common interest which was baseball and hockey. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Carolyn & Diane: We are thinking of you at this time and want you to know we are thinking of your dad in our prayers. Wally was a kind, sweet man who I remember for many years at Northlea Church and earlier when we lived on Glenvale Blvd.
I also remember Jim and in 1980 to hear the sad news of his death - so you have all experienced this and know how hard it can be.
When our sister died Dec 16/14, we also found this very hard as it was sudden, like Jim and it is something you learn to deal with in your own personal way.
We want you to know our family is thinking of you all and know you are supported with loving thoughts coming your way. Lillian and Wally were great parents and they raised lovely children and I know you are there for each other. Remember the good times you shared with them over the years. That will help the sorrow you are feeling right now.

Carolyn and Diane, I knew your dad back when your brother Jim and I were still in grade school, and Cubs and Scouts, together, and I remember your father as always being a consummate gentleman. Then, as luck would have it so many years later, my mom and brother told me how our dads happened upon each other at the Veterans Residence at Sunnybrook. While your dad would wheel my dad to his medical appointments, I understand they enjoyed many conversations together about raising a family in Leaside. On behalf of my family, our sincerest condolences on the loss of your father, a good man who went out of his way for others.
