Dear Deirdre, David and Philip,
On behalf of my sister Martha Lynn and brother John I offer our heartfelt condolences to you and your families. While it was an awfully long time ago now, we have fond memories of the 'family over the fence'.
I was lucky enough to run into Doug and Mary many times at the Trout Club. In fact I last saw Mary when she was there for lunch with you, Deirdre and several other ladies (I think Jane Cooper was also there).
Our parents enjoyed a long and fun-filled friendship and I am grateful for Mary's warm and welcoming way.
I am sorry that I am unable to attend on Thursday, but do know that our thoughts are with you all.
