Our dear Shawn and Sherry, Sad to hear of the passing of your beloved Dad (and my first cousin - our mothers were sisters). Please accept our sympathies. We remember Earnie as always wearing a smile. What a combination that made, his dashing good looks, and a warm smile! I was particularly grateful that he was warm and welcoming to my wife Jessie (Jacinta) even in our early courtship days, especially when he realised that she was from Ranwar, in Bandra. On our trip to Toronto in 1998 we spent an evening with him. Here are photos of that evening, with Tony and Esther James (my first cousin from my Dad's side and his wife). Earnie was the darling of his sister Iona, and we share many memories of family gatherings at her house. May you have the strength to bear this loss and know that your Dad is now smiling on you from above. May his soul Rest in Peace.

Our dearest Ernie, We are grateful and thankful for the good times we shared with you over the past few years since we came to Canada. You were always so full of hope, positivity, laughter and affection. We will surely miss you at our Christmas dinners, which you faithfully came over for and spread so much joy and happiness. Our dearest Shawn, Sherry, Dan and Kayla It was with heavy hearts to hear about the passing away of your beloved and loving Dad who we knew so well. Our deepest condolences and sympathies are conveyed to all of you. Besides being a schoolmate with Odie, in the the Boarding school at St.Mary.s Mazagon Bombay, he was a man of smiles and always happy and ready to help his friends. we were also godparents of Sherry and our families were so close. He was ever so cheerful with beaming smiles whenever we met and tales of yesteryears would crop up with humour and laughter. We last spoke to him in late September 2017, just before we left Canada very recently. He was confident he would recover and we would hopefully meet him on our next trip.. We shall miss him always, may his soul RIP. Farewell Ernie, you will always be in our prayers, Dolly/Odie ,

Dearest Shawn & Sherry, Life doesn’t feel fair sometimes and this is one of those moments. Your dad was one of the good guys who I will surely miss. There was never a dull moment when he was around. His sense of humour, that incredible smile, the amazing times our families shared together back home in India on the weekends will never be forgotten. My Dearest Godpa, I was very hurt to hear about your loss.Words can't express this difficult time and you will be dearly missed.You always showed your willingness to fight and strength to go through the difficult times when we visited or talked to you whether at the hospital or at home. You were an amazing Godfather always wearing a smile on your face and heart on your sleeve. The times we spent together will always be remembered and cherished.Your actions and words of wisdom always amazed me and with your blessings I have picked up the same and am proud to say it! Dear Shawn, Sherry, Dan and baby Kayla—so sorry for your loss. I will miss Uncle Ernie and his Elvis Presley charisma. I have recollections of his laugh and his love as a toddler all the way to my wedding and beyond. His faith in God and prayer life was admirable.
