Obituary of Madeleine Bryant

MADELEINE BRYANT

On Friday, September 29, 2017 at the age of 90, Madeleine Bryant passed away peacefully in the company of loved ones at Bridgepoint.  She was the widow of William Bryant (d 1978).  Nothing gave Madeleine (or “Nana” as she was more often called) more pride and joy than her three daughters, two son-in-laws, 10 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.  She was the loving centre of her large extended family, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Madeleine was born in East Selkirk Manitoba to Peter and Mary Karandiuk, eldest of 5 siblings.  She will be missed by her sister and all her nieces and nephews.  Nana was famous for her perogies, firecracker spirit, and huge heart.  Everyone who met Nana knew how special she was.

The family will be having a private interment at Groveside Cemetery in Whitby, ON on Saturday, October 28th, followed by a memorial gathering for family at Leaside United Church.  They invite those wishing to extend condolences to do so here, and to make a donation to either Bridgepoint Foundation, Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation, if they so choose.

She will live on in our hearts forever.
