Obituary of Gloria Anne Dabous

Gloria Dabous (nee Boosamra) born March 27, 1923 passed away peacefully and with a smile on Monday, September 25, 2017 at home surrounded by her family and in the loving care of Delmanor.  Beloved wife of her late husband Albert “Dabby” and loving mother of her late son Peter, Gloria is survived by her children Debbie, Ronald, Stephen and their families who will miss her deeply and remember her always with love.  Born in Montreal, spending her summers in the Laurentian's learning her lifetime passion for bridge, Gloria was wooed to Toronto by Dabby, the love of her life.  Gloria was quickly embraced by the warmth of Dabby’s family and friends.  Church, bowling, ladies’ auxiliary and her AMITAS women’s club were just some of her activities while raising their four children.  Love of family and friends was the center of mom’s life.  Gloria’s doors were always open and the table quickly set.  ‘Sitto’ will always be remembered for her incredible cooking, Sunday dinner toasts, passion for politics, love of reading and her enthusiasm, endless energy and warm smile.

The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES – NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) for a service and celebration of her life on Thursday, October 5th at 3:00 p.m., with visitation from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.  A reception will be held in the Rosedale Room following the service.  Private cremation.  Condolences, photographs and memories may be forwarded through www.humphreymilesnewbigging.com.
