Dear Anne, Ian and Keith: Pietro and I have fond memories of George and time we spent in your home. Although our interactions were not frequent, each one held laughter, stories, tales of Scotland, and at times, bagpipe music. He was always ready to engage in any conversation and made us feel very welcome. It was very obvious to us that he loved you all and was very proud of you. We are thinking of you.

May you rest in peace George. I will miss your delightful facts and stories (at work), even while you were rushing out to buy your fish and chips at lunch. I hope your family will find peace in the memories you have left behind!

George worked with my father for years and always made us kids laugh. His favourite thing to do was stand as a statue in the store window and when people stopped to look he would move suddenly and startle the onlookers. Oh we laughed and laughed at that. My Saturdays working for my father was made brighter when George was there. Although it has been years since I last saw George, I have such fond memories. I was so happy to know when he made a choice for Jesus as his Saviour. I have confidence in knowing George is now with the Lord. Much love to your family. Sincerely, Cheryl Forbes

George was the fun guy at work and I loved hearing all his stories as a young teenager when I went to help my dad at Forbes Musical World.
His laugh would ring out before he could even finish the punch line and we'd all be in stitches ... and not even get the ending of the story!!
The things George would do as a practical joke still brings a smile to my face.
And the poems!! George would quote long poems from memory ... and then make them longer by adding his two cents :)
I was greatly saddened when I heard he had passed on, but I am happy to picture him in heaven with the Lord. I was there when he came to Rexdale Gospel Hall and I saw how sincerely he accepted that his sins were forgiven by Jesus dying in his stead as the Perfect Sacrifice. George was profoundly affected by the fact that he was so loved by a Heavenly Father, that He sent His perfect Son to die just for George Gibson. George knew back then he was assured of a place in heaven ... and now he is living out that realization and is free from pain and earthly limitations.
I am glad I had the chance to know George Gibson!

Our heartfelt sympathy and condolences on the loss of your beloved husband and dad. We were so incredibly saddened and shocked to hear of George's passing. He was a wonderful man who lit up every room he walked into and who amazed us all with his knowledge of everything from poetry to politics and history. Energetic and mischievous,he was the life of every party at the O'Halloran house and we have so many happy memories of time spent with him and Anne. Gone far too soon, George. You will be missed.

George you were taken from us way to soon. I will remember our fun times at Eatons, the long 2 to 3 hour walks across Toronto, the drives that had no destination; we just drove, the water fights on Bonnie Brae Blvd, the lamb roasts in your backyard, Halloween parties and the riddles and reciting of Shakespeare. Bonnie Brae Blvd will not be the same without you. You will be so missed. Rest in peace George, may your light shine bright and I can just imagine the laughter you will bring to Heaven.
Love Christine Hill

Ah George, I will always remember our many walks with you, mom and I which always ended up at a local pub for a quick nightcap. You always had a story to tell or a riddle to rhyme off and it was always delivered with a big smile and a laugh. You were taken from us way to soon and you will always be remembered by your many friends and family. Rest in peace George. Love Bonnie and Dave

To my dearly beloved Uncle George who will be missed more than words can say. I'm going to miss hearing your voice on the phone with all your incredible vast knowledge of absolutely everything and of course your countless endless jokes. My favourite being the "In and Out" story. Our cherished time together is embedded in my heart and I am so privileged to have you as my dearest Uncle George, the best ever. You were taken away far too soon but I knew from the deepest of my heart you were ready. I love you Uncle George as how we always finished our chats everytime. Until we see one another again. God Rest in Peace Uncle George. With a heavy heart from your loving niece Linda Xxx
