Obituary of Shirley Barbara Tate

TATE, Shirley (née Moore)

October 16, 1927 – September 19, 2017

Shirley died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, September 19, 2017.  Shirley was predeceased by her husband Dr. Elred (Joe) Crawford Tate and her three stepsons and their spouses Howard (Isabelle), Richard (Gwen) and James (Nora Kay), her sisters Joyce and Doris.  Shirley is survived by her sister Norma and many nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  The family extends their gratitude to the Chartwell-Wynfield Long Term Care Facility in Oshawa for their care of Shirley over the past several years.  The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES – NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 26th.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in ST.
