Mary and Margaret,
I am sorry to hear of your mother's death. She was a very kind and caring woman. She was an excellent cook and gracious host. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Rob
P.S.
She lived her life to the fullest and we are richer for that.

What a special lady Ruth was. My mom and Ruth have been friends for so many years, I cant remember Ruth not being in Barb's life. It started at the Granite Club as bowling teammates and continued after for years. This friendship extended to myself and my husband Andrew but it was very strong with my children, Bryn and Cade. They loved visiting Ruth and spent many hours over the years with Barb at Ruth's house. They would go out for dinners at Anthony's or Richtree.
Ruth was like a grandmother to both of them and she had a special spot in their hearts. We enjoyed having her for Mother's Day dinners and hearing about all of her lifelong adventures.
Cade and Barb were lucky to have a wonderful swim visit the week before Ruth passed and Cade was so grateful for that.
Ruth was a special lady, a friend and I am so privileged to have had a friendship with her and grateful for the love, guidance and friendship she showed to my mother and children.

We will remember Aunt Ruth as a warm, welcoming & generous lady. We have fond memories of visiting their Kawagama Lake cottage... scrabble & board games, boating, waterskiing, swimming & wonderful family meals! Visits to their family farm included more great meals (i think i have her lasagne recipe), learning to horseback ride, toboganning down the big hill & hot chocolate after snowmobiling. Aunt Ruth always made us feel welcome & ensured we had fun!
Our mom Bernice fondly remembers the many family get-togethers at Ruth & Ken's cottage, farm & family home, their generosity & willingness to help the community & people in need in Canada & other countries.
Hugs & love to Margaret, Mary & their families. So many fond memories you can cherish.
