I just learned of the passing of Dave. I remember him as a funny, articulate, kind and from "shy" gentleman. One time that sticks out in my mind was on Halloween, when he knocked on our door with an empty scotch glass in his hand asking for a "treat" rather then a "trick"!! My Dad laughed so hard. To the Purdy Family: It was my great honour and pleasure to serve on the board of Bloorview Children's Hospital with David for many years. He provided sage advice during our challenging board discussions and decisions but it was his wicked sense of humour that made the meetings fun. I can still see the twinkle in his eye when he would make a statement that made perfect sense and made us laugh. He will be missed by all who knew him. Christine A. Featherstone
