I was fortunate to have spent many years working with Gord at the TEGH. He was my Mentor, inspiration and role model. Always a smile and a kind word for everyone.
His was a life well lived and we that were honored to know him are better people.

Bev, I was so sorry to hear about your dad. I remember seeing him in our clinic from time to time and he was always such a vibrant person and a true gentleman. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Dear Barb and Bev,
I was saddened to read of your Father's death. He was likely the last of great gentlemen of Kew Beach United. I know that Mom and Dad often spoke well of him and your Mom .
David and I remain in Port Hope and were sorry when you Bev left for parts unknown.
We wish you all the best ,
Terri

I have so many wonderful memories of Gord through his journey with Famous PEOPLE Players and a member of our Board of Directors. He was such a humble exceptional human being who gave so much to his community.
I will never forget when Famous PEOPLE Players had a tribute event in his honour and presented him with the Daring to Dream Award. At the same time we had a group of event management students from Niagara College attending as well.
Diane introduced Gord as being such a Special Man and what he had meant to Famous PEOPLE Players and to our Country. She talked to the students about the accompanying Sunnybrook Veterans and especially mentioned that Gord had served in World War II with the Royal Canadian Navy, copying Japanese code.
It was so moving when the students just had to have their picture taken with him. Also one mother had her son attended FPP on the very same day. She had wanted to have an extra Special Day for his birthday. Her son also had to have his picture taken with Gord! Afterwards, the mother said, "Meeting Gord had made the day everything she had hoped for her son."
Gord's life was truly a life well lived!

Gordon Swazie has earned his wings!.
His life on earth as an angel earned him the huge fanfare he will receive at the Golden Gates.
The trumpets blare, the angels dance and God says,
"Good Old Gord. He is now back at home. Job well done for Famous PEOPLE Players."
We will remember you Gord, Forever! You got us through the rough times and through you and your generosity you gave wings to the players to make them fly.
See you in the next life and together we will all kick up a storm.
Love Diane & Famous PEOPLE Players, Bernard, Mary and the Board of Directors

Dear Barbara and Beverley: My sincerest condolences on the loss of your father. He certainly had a long and interesting life and raised two lovely women. Barbara: I have many fond memories of our time together at Whitby Psych in 1967. Bev: thanks for the many many enjoyable times we worked together at TEGH. I wish I could be there to see you today, but I am up to my eyeballs in tomatoes as it is my day off from looking after two of our grandchildren. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you today and tomorrow. Feel free to e-mail me when/if you have time and wish to talk.
Sincerely
Janet Fallaize (nee Murray)

I am a member of Beach United Church. I had the pleasure of visiting Gord twice at Sunnybrook this past summer. What stuck me each time was his appreciation of my visit, graciousness and kindness. He was always interested in everything, and it was such a joy to spend time with him.

Barb and Bev,
I have just read of Gord's passing and want you to know that I am thinking of you and your families. As you know, Gord was a great, great friend of my Dad's and I treasure the visit we had Barb to talk about those memories and times he and Ruby had with our family. He was always a special man to me because of his kindness and love for everyone. He will be remembered fondly by all members of the Northey family.
Sending love and hugs.
