We remember Emile with so much fondness thru his time, and later visits to Saskatoon, and earlier to a production of Fledermaus in Kitchener-Waterloo in the early 80's. His flamboyance, jovial manner, and talent always made him memorable in life and on the stage.

I loved when Emile would pop into lessons and tell us stories or sing to help us learn. He had a big heart and it radiated to everyone he met. So sorry for your loss, Norma. If anything, please let me know and I will do anything I can.

Pierre and family,
What an incredible tribute for you father, a life well lived indeed. Truly a remarkable man, who gave an enormous contribution doing what he loved. You must be very proud to be his son and saddened with the loss of an amazing Dad. Thanks for sharing his story with us and blessings on Emile's huge spirit.

Dear Norma,
Graham and I are so sorry to hear the sad news and we know how much you will all miss him. He was such a wonderful man and such a glorious character too - so full of warmth, humour and just plain good spirits! Everyone will have special memories of Emile - mine are from the ENO years: Loge and Herod in particular. I never hear Rhinegold and Salome without also hearing his unique voice and seeing him my mind's eye!
We send you and all the family our deepest sympathies and much love.

Always meant to look up Emile since I moved to Toronto. I heard wonderful things about him from various people over the years. He sang with my teacher Norman Bailey in the Goodall ring. We had a major role in common too...that of Emile De Becque in South Pacific. What a great, long and interesting life he led. I'm sorry to have not met him. Condolences to his family and friends. I hope to come to the memorial on Sept 24th.
Best wishes and condolences,
Jason Howard

I'm so sorry to hear that Emile passed away and gone to join the angels in the sky. He was a grand guy, charming elegant musical... A huge talent, he lit up our lives.
I have fond memories of you too and hope you are ok.

Romilly, Sebastien, & Norma,
I'm so sorry to hear about Uncle Emile. He was such a wonderful person, and I always loved when he came to visit our family in Saskatoon. He would always want to take us to eat at Fudruckers (3 times a day if he could), and he was always singing around the house. He was well loved and will be dearly missed by everyone.

Dear Norma and family.
The passing of Emile is very sad, but the lovely memories of him will live on. He generously shared of his talent and brought very happy moments to us all through song, and especially to our mother Georgette, who was especially fond of him. His lovely informal tribute of song at her memorial service will always be cherished.
Our thoughts are with you and your children.

Emile planted dahlias in my garden one summer. He said this reminded him of his time in Italy. I'm so glad Emile visited us in Seattle all those years.

Dear Norma and family
It was with sadness that I learned of Emile's passing.
I have fond memories as a child of the Belcourt Family in Lafleche
My children Lisa and Andrew also have wonderful memories of Emile in England and Burlington..
He was a big support when my mother Georgette passed away and it was generous of you and Emile to be with me at Shia's burial.
My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
