I had the fortunate privilege of working for M. Panioti when he was Vice-President. He was a great teacher and a great model for me. I have fond memories of our conversations as he always had the time to share his knowledge, to discuss alternatives and to insure that I had properly analyzed the issues and applied my best effort. In later years, I was most touched by my personal conversations with Stan, taken during lunches or diners where I could explore his many interests and fully appreciate his sensitivities. Therese and family, I was sad to read about Stan's passing. He was in all respects an honourable, dignified and caring person. He was an authentic leader true to his beliefs and principles. As a young manager coming to work in ERCO Toronto, Stan treated me with respect as he did all who worked with him. I also trusted his wise counsel, his appreciation for intellectual pursuits and thoughtful conversation. It was a pleasure to know him, to work with him. He will be missed. Dan Corbett

Therese and family I spent much of my career with Erco and A&W and for some of it reported to Stan. He was a pleasure to work with always. Especially at budget time he understood the business, the processes and the technology so well that he always made sure that we were well prepared and could justify our presentations. It was a pleasure to have known him and worked with him. I remember especially fondly the occasions when he hosted my wife Deanne and at the University of Ottawa dining area. He was a gentleman and an intellectual. Our heartfelt sympathy at your time of loss. Kevin and Deanne
