Obituary of David "Dave" Keenleyside
DAVE KEENLEYSIDE
Passed away at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the age of 53. Beloved son of the late Hubert (Hub) Keenleyside and the late Judy Keenleyside, and loving brother of Anne (Pat). Dave was born in London, Ontario, but spent most of his life in Toronto. He attended the University of Western Ontario before pursuing a career in the insurance industry, working for Maritime Insurance and SubroGateway in Toronto and International Bond and Marine in Hoboken, New Jersey. He was a kind and generous person, had a great sense of humour, was an ardent fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays, the NFL and World Cup football, and loved music, animals and his gardens. His happiest memories include childhood summers at the family cottage in Muskoka, his many travels, and get-togethers with friends at his home in Leaside. He will be dearly missed by his best friends Steve Koven and John and Jerry Giroux, his former roommates, his poker buddies, and many other friends. Cremation has taken place, and a private interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery will follow. A celebration of Dave’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Toronto Humane Society, the Canadian Wildlife Federation, or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
