I knew Alan during his time at Queen's University in the early 1990's. I was a graduate student and Teaching Assistant to Alan who was completing his Post-Doctoral work at Queen's. I was a gifted teacher and philosopher. I recall fondly memories of Alan and Katherine and dinners at their apartment in Kingston. I stayed in touch with Alan during his time at the University of Toronto as a lawyer until the mid 2000's.
I want to extend my deepest sympathies to his family and friends. Alan will be sadly missed by all.
