I had the privilege of working with Charlie for several years at New York Life. Not only was he a consummate professional in commercial mortgages and real estate, but he was a real pleasure as an admirable human being to all around him. I enjoyed Charlie very much and saw first hand how his humour, charm and intelligence lifted the spirits of others. I will miss him.

Donny and Wanda,
My earliest memories include the Bick family and the Bick boys, along the shore at Hawkestone near my grandparents cottage. As I was the younger sister, I didn't hang out with them but enjoyed visits with Charlie much later in life, with a tour of the log house and some pleasant visits on the porch. He was a lovely fellow and I am so sorry that his illness took him too soon. Tom and I are thinking of you both.
Love Barbara & Tom, New Mexico.

I am so sorry that my dear friend Charlie has passed away. He was really a great person, and loved by most who met him. I remember him from curling, skiing, some pleasure sailing, and a lot of great dinner parties . He was fun to be with, and had a great sense of humor, and would always be there if someone needed someone to talk to.
He was also a true gentleman, treating women with the ultimate respect. I wish there were more Charlie's in the world.
Unfortunately, we are all heading in the same direction. I would have to say enjoy life today, because you never know what is around the bend.
I have nothing but great memories about Charlie. Thank you Charlie for being born, and giving a lot of people a lot of laughs and treating them so well. God bless and may you rest in peace.
XO
Anne

My name is Doug Harris and I was a curling friend of Charlie. The news of his passing was so sad. One of my jobs at the curling club was to be the chair of the senior men's section, which Charlie was the long time secretary.
Just this morning at our agm we named one of our bonspiels "the Charlie Bick bonspiel". Later we heard the news; how ironic.
This is just one of the ways Charlie will be remembered. I thought you would like to know.

I am very sorry to hear that Charlie has passed onto the other side, I know that it will be a terrible adjustment.
It was great to meet Charlie and have that wonderful dinner last summer! I remember when we drove up to your house he was out mowing the lawn and looking very vital and strong! The dinner was full of delicious food and many laughs and I am greatful for that.
I know he will be greatly missed.
Sending hugs and love from all of us out here on the west coast.

My deepest condolences to Charlie's family. He was truly a generous man and enjoyed life to the fullest.
I curled with Charlie in the Financial Services league which he organized and ran superbly at the old Mutual Street Arena.
He also organized those memorable trips to Parry Sound for our annual curling bonspiel.
Charlie you will be missed, but never forgotten.
RIP my friend.
