Obituary of Barbara Joan Davidson

<p>DAVIDSON, Barbara Joan</p> <p>Passed away peacefully at the Baycrest Palliative Care Hospital on Monday, April 3, 2017 at the age of 85.&nbsp; Beloved daughter of the late Lillian and Charles Davidson.&nbsp; Joan was born and raised in Toronto.&nbsp; Joan&rsquo;s dedication and passion was for children.&nbsp; She worked as an early childhood educator for over thirty years with Metro Children Services and remained in the child care field until 1985 when she retired as a Field Supervisor of Child Care for Metropolitan Toronto.&nbsp; After retirement, Joan continued her involvement with children, volunteering at the North York Hospital.&nbsp; Joan&rsquo;s interests included skiing and sailing with the North Toronto Ski and Sailing Club, travelling, theatre and watching her beloved Toronto Maple Leafs.&nbsp; Joan touched the lives of many, had a particular talent for making and keeping friends, and will be remembered by all for her wonderful and unique sense of humour.&nbsp; Joan will be sadly missed by family and friends.&nbsp; Cremation has taken place, and in accordance with Joan&rsquo;s wishes, there will be no funeral service.&nbsp; Donations in Joan&rsquo;s memory may be made to the Salvation Army or to the Baycrest Palliative Care Hospital.&nbsp; Condolences, photographs and memories may be forwarded through www.humphreymilesnewbigging.com.</p>
