Obituary of Douglas Walter George Aldridge

<p><strong>Douglas Walter George Aldridge</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Left us with broken hearts, peacefully, at his Toronto home, on 4 April 2016, aged 96. Precious father of Russel, Lloyd and Lindsay (Linda), sons with the late Thelma Mary Aldridge (Nee O&rsquo;Keefe), he leaves to mourn his long-time friend, Sylvia; his grandchildren, Cassandra, Lee and Justine; his five great-grandchildren, his friends and colleagues.&nbsp; He was a small businessman and Kiwanis member.&nbsp; His passion was singing and performing music, especially from the big band era (Doug Aldridge and his Sentimental Swing).&nbsp; He was cremated according to his wishes.&nbsp; A private memorial event was held.&nbsp; Donations in his memory may be made to www.fams.ca (416-241-6274) or your local Kiwanis Chapter.
