I was so sorry to hear of Shirley's recent death. I was so hoping to make it to her 100th birthday. She was such a good friend to my mother, Hope, at the Claremont and I loved the times when I would have lunch or dinner at their table. She would talk about her life in New Brunswick and elsewhere and sometimes we even talked politics!
I have a lovely vision of Shirley and Hope together again, perhaps watching the curling with the heavenly equivalent of a glass of wine. Or even better, playing themselves.
My sympathy to all of Shirley's family. She was so proud of all of you and I know you will miss her dearly.
