We first met sweet Berndt while vacationing in Varadero, Cuba, a few years ago. He invited us to share his dinner table, and we have remained friends since then. We met again at the same Internacional Hotel a few other times, and exchanged many emails over the years.
Berndt was a true gentleman, kind, generous, funny and quite entertaining, with a beautiful voice that helped while away many happy hours under the Cuban sun.
May the Good Lord keep him close for eternity.
Thank you for accepting these two French Canadians into your life, Berndt. Rest in peace, dear friend.
