<p> </p>
<p>Born August 19, 1933, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 4, 2017, age 83, of cancer. Daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Kostovcik, Anne was predeceased by her brother Tony and sister-in-law Jo, and will be missed greatly by her brother Mel. Dearly loved by sister-in-law Helen, nieces Christine (Peter Bourgeois), Lynda (Ralph Quirino), Nancy (Wayne McFadden), Susan (John Leader) and their families, as well as extended family members and many friends. Anne was born in Montreal and had a 40+ year career at Canadian Marconi. Astute, meticulous, and conscientious, she worked her way up to the role of Executive Secretary to the President and served three presidents in that position. After her move to Toronto, Anne continued to cultivate a network of friendships at family events, at Masaryk Park, and within the Slovak community both in Canada and Slovakia. All who met her remembered her warmth and cheer, her uplifting personality, and caring ways. Anne never missed a birthday and we could always count on her to arrive with gifts, some delicious home cooking, and a smile. Her generosity extended to those in need of support, whether through her time or monetary donations. Special thanks to the friends and caregivers who gave Anne their support during the difficult period of her declining health. Following cremation, a funeral service will be held in ST. ANSELM’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1 MacNaughton Road, Toronto, on Friday, March 24th at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Montreal’s Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 55 St. Clair Avenue West, Suite 300, Toronto M4V 2Y7.
