Deepest sympathy to Jeff's family and friends. I only just learned of Jeff's passing. It's hard to believe. He was a wonderful colleague and a dear, dear friend. Whether we crossed paths at an ISACA session, in the underground path over lunchtime, on the waterfront while out for a run or even at a race, Jeff was always smiling, so warm and kind and generous with his time. We'll miss him terribly.

I feel shocked and saddened to learn that our esteemed ISACA colleague has passed. During most of the 30+ years of my ISACA Toronto Chapter membership, I always enjoyed a few cheerful comments with our ever smiling Jeff at ISACA events. The last memory I have of him is when I saw him last summer 2016 strolling smartly through the Brookfield Place food court dressed in a yellow colored casual summer outfit and I regretted not shouting out to him. So even though I only knew Jeff at ISACA, his absence will be felt.

My deepest sympathies to Jeff’s family. May God give you the comfort and peace that you seek and may the soul of your loved one rest in peace.
Jeff, most people in life come and go in a blink of an eye, yet never realize their purpose. You, have given so much to the ISACA community, and left many people’s lives in a better place than where you found them.
We are all blessed due to your care and giving. May you rest in eternal peace.

I am so sorry for your loss, Laurel, Peter and Cheryl. I am glad the couple had many good years together. I write on behalf of all Jeff's paternal cousins. Unfortunately, we didn't get to hang out together, didn't have the opportunity to really get to know each other since you'll moved to Canada decades ago. My family was lucky enough to have met Jeff when he visited us in Irvine, Ca many years ago. The last opportunity was when you both came for the marathon in MD a few years ago but we couldn't meet up.
Family is family and we will miss him. He went doing what he loved doing, ran all the races he could and walked off to the other side after he finished teaching his last class. I am sure his students will feel the loss, greatly.
He made the choice to live life on his own terms. That is certainly comforting, although at this time of loss that is small comfort to those left behind.
May his soul rest in peace. I wish you all peace and courage and strength to move through this trying time.
We love you brother Jeff.
