Obituary of Judy Keenleyside
<p><strong>JUDY KEENLEYSIDE</strong></p>
<p> </p>
<p>Our beautiful mother passed away peacefully at home in Toronto on Monday, January 30, 2017 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Hubert (Hub) Keenleyside. Loving mother to Dave and Anne (Pat). Sister of John Ivay (Beth), sister-in-law of Dave Keenleyside and the late John Keenleyside (Joan), and aunt to Marlene, Cathy, Wendy, David and Tom. Born in Ottawa, Judy trained as a nurse at the Ottawa Civic Hospital and met Hub over the operating room table. Married for 56 years, she and Hub spent their early years in Montreal, where he trained as an anaesthetist. They later moved to London and then Toronto where they raised their family. Judy was a long-time volunteer at the Royal Ontario Museum, serving as a docent and working at the ROM Reproduction Shop. She was also a member of Oriole-York Mills United Church. She loved sewing, knitting, and gardening, and in her later years travelled with Hub to many places in North America and abroad. A wonderful stay-at-home mom to Anne and Dave, she devoted her entire life to her family. Our many thanks to the angels who took such great care of her in her home for so many years: Cathy, Julyn, Nelia, Dorothea, and Juliet. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Friday, February 10th. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, February 11th at 11:00 a.m. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery. If desired, donations to a charity of your choice would be welcome.
