Obituary of Judy Keenleyside

<p><strong>JUDY KEENLEYSIDE</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Our beautiful mother passed away peacefully at home in Toronto on Monday, January 30, 2017 at the age of 88.&nbsp; Beloved wife of the late Hubert (Hub) Keenleyside.&nbsp; Loving mother to Dave and Anne (Pat). Sister of John Ivay (Beth), sister-in-law of Dave Keenleyside and the late John Keenleyside (Joan), and aunt to Marlene, Cathy, Wendy, David and Tom.&nbsp; Born in Ottawa, Judy trained as a nurse at the Ottawa Civic Hospital and met Hub over the operating room table.&nbsp; Married for 56 years, she and Hub spent their early years in Montreal, where he trained as an anaesthetist.&nbsp; They later moved to London and then Toronto where they raised their family.&nbsp; Judy was a long-time volunteer at the Royal Ontario Museum, serving as a docent and working at the ROM Reproduction Shop.&nbsp; She was also a member of Oriole-York Mills United Church.&nbsp; She loved sewing, knitting, and gardening, and in her later years travelled with Hub to many places in North America and abroad.&nbsp; A wonderful stay-at-home mom to Anne and Dave, she devoted her entire life to her family.&nbsp; Our many thanks to the angels who took such great care of her in her home for so many years: Cathy, Julyn, Nelia, Dorothea, and Juliet.&nbsp; The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Friday, February 10^th.&nbsp; A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, February 11^th at 11:00 a.m.&nbsp; Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery.&nbsp; If desired, donations to a charity of your choice would be welcome.&nbsp; Condolences, photographs and memories may be forwarded through www.humphreymilesnewbigging.com.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
