John Andreoli was a great man that I am happy to have called my friend. I worked with him for a year and stayed in touch for the last four. He was a positive man with a warm heart and an infectious smile. It is with a truly sad heart that I with my deepest condolences to his family. John will be missed, but more importantly he will always be remembered for what he meant to all of the people he met, and all of the good that he did.

My condolences on your loss. John was a classmate of mine at Del back in the 60s. I last spoke to him at our last reunion a few years back. He was still the same laughing
fun loving guy.
Again, my condolences.

Hi Angie,
I enjoyed John's company in Gravenhurst. The first time I met him was at the Gravenhurst wharf where I was struggling to step the mast into my Bluenose sailboat. He asked if he could help me in which I readily accepted. He picked the mast up all by himself and gently set it in place. In the following years I became familiar with his other assets, kindness etc. and will remember him.
Thinking of you guys,
David Dawson

I knew John only within the past decade or so, through our work. He always impressed me with his ethics, his practicality and his ability to find the best solutions for all. Over these years we became friends and shared much; I came to understand him to be one of the finest men I've known. I saw him last in the late autumn, just prior to his operation. I was lucky to have then met his son and grandson, and to have a glimpse into his family life. We spoke for a while alone and I was impressed that he was unafraid, and enjoying pure gratitude for his life, family and friendships. He was also droll and amused, completely at ease with what he was facing the next day. It was amazing to me, but that's who he was. I offer these condolences to John's family for their profound loss, and mixed with my own sadness that I've lost a friend and teacher. He truly was one of the best.

I don't think I have seen John in over 50 years. We were neighbours and friends on Sandringham as kids. He was not yet the big fella he grew into but you could see it coming especially since his Dad was Goliath strong.
We often enjoyed crepes in his Mom's kitchen. As a dubious reward John had to ride with me to De La Salle in my Dad's smelly car ( stale cigar) on frosty mornings.
I remember John as a gentle lad and was saddened to read of his early demise.
My sincere condolences.

It is with great sadness that I pay my sincerest condolences to John Andreoli and his family today. I was blessed to work closely along side him for just shy of 5 years and am truly at a loss of words. John had an infectious personality and a genuine smile that would light up any room he entered. We always had our daily chit chats at his desk or even on the phone just to touch base on how our days were going and for him to remind me that I should pursue a career as a Project Manager because the realm of construction needs feisty women like myself haha :). I will forever hold our time together in my thoughts and while I am truly saddened by this loss, I have a sense of comfort and peace in knowing that God has gained a new angel and he will be watching over all of us.
Always thinking of you,
Paras Taravati

I was so sorry to hear about John's death and his fight for survival from an all consuming virus. I remember happy times when the children were young in Muskoka and we attended family celebrations there. Those were the days of young marriage. I treasure those years for they involve people I love as friends and who are still an important part of my life.
