Dear family of Jae Blue.
My sympathy to you! Although I didn't know Jae, I know that she had a positive impact on many. When my husband and I had painted the church washroom at Presteign- Woodbine United Church,many years ago, Jae offered up a perfect floral print that has looked great in the room, ever since! Just a few months ago, I had sat behind her at the garden club meeting. Her name had been called out (she had won something!) and so I knew who she was.I leaned forward, introduced myself and thanked her for her lovely donation so many years ago.

Mrs Blue was my teacher on the one-day gifted programme back in the 1980s; she was full of energy and fun and I still have amazing memories of that time. She helped me to find my way and become the person I am now, and I will always be grateful to her for that. She will be very sorely missed.

Jae was a fantastic teacher who made every day special for the children she taught. Our staff enjoyed her enthusiasm and her caring nature. She was one of a kind, and it will be a long time before another comes along to match her sparkling personality.

Dear Scott,Bryan,Lynn Terry and Jim,
I am profoundly sorry that you have lost dear Jae. She will be deeply missed. Jae was rarely without a book and she was an inspiration to so many of her students in her roles as a classroom teacher and a teacher librarian. So many developed her passion for reading. Mrs. Blue was a fixture of our Rolph Road Public School experience. She brought books alive and introduced us to our favourite authors and a life long love of reading. I particularly remember her enthusiasm for the Toronto Blue Jays during their early '90s playoff run, as a Blue Jae herself. My deepest sympathies to you and your family. She is fondly remembered.

I was very saddened to learn of Jae's sudden passing. Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss. We were neighbours for many years on Warren Rd and Jim and I were classmates at UCC. Jae always dropped in to say hi when she was at our dealership and we often had coffee together. It was always a delight to visit with her.

Dear Scott, Bryan, Terry, Lynn, and family:
Jae was a special person in my life. We had many adventures during our time in Abu Dhabi and I am grateful for her friendship that we developed over the years despite me only visiting once a year during my summer school break. As you know, we affectionately called her "Mama Jae" but she was more of a mentor on my life. I sought Jae's advice about many things from most recently asking her about how to put plants to bed for the winter just a few weeks ago to asking her about moving x or y country. I felt privileged to hear about Scott or Bryan 's latest adventures and sample her delicious cooking , especially her soups that usually many ingredients grown in her own backyard. Jae was extremely kind letting me stay with her while I was in the GTA and I loved catching up with all of her news when we visited. I am deeply saddened by the news of her death. I would like to continue to go through old photos I have and send you the ones I have of Jae. Please let me know where I can send these. I wish for you to find peace during this difficult. I am sorry I cannot be there in person to express to you how much Jae meant to me. I will miss her dearly.

Jae will be remembered for her passions (sons, horses, pets, travel, flowers), wonderful sense of humor and reducing the complicated to the practical. Her pecan pie was famous and apparently travelled well. She was a perceptive, beautiful and interesting woman who was wonderful company. A very special person who we will miss greatly.
