Mai-Liis was predeceased by her first husband Peter Miller and her parents Verner and Astra Karro. She is survived by her loving husband Richard and nephew Oliver McGinley (Paula). She is fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Ann McCoy Hucker and her many friends. A graduate of the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto, Mai-Liis practiced in Toronto for 30 years. An avid adventurer, she explored distant lands hiking, climbing and skiing. In recent years her passions were gardening, golf and bridge. We thank the staff at St. Michael’s Hospital as well as those at Princess Margaret Hospital for their care and compassion and, in recent weeks, those individuals at the Temmy Latner Centre, CCAC and the team from Retire at Home. Particular thanks to Dr. Kieran McIntyre, Dr. David Kendal and Natalia Karasick.
