Obituary of Alexandrina (Sandy) Farrell

Passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Meighen Manor at the age of 88. Devoted and beloved wife of the late Gerry Farrell; proud and loving mother of Cathy (Brian Foster) and Alison (Peter Bowen); adoring grandmother to Douglas and Mark Bowen; eldest sister of Kitty McDonald and the late May Latto. Sandy's lifelong love for children was expressed in many ways, including through her long career as a cherished teacher. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in ROSEDALE UNITED CHURCH, 159 Roxborough Drive, Toronto. The family will receive visitors at the church between 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Meighen Manor for their kind and gentle care of Sandy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehab Therapeutic Clown Program or to the Fondation CHU Sainte-Justine.
