Obituary of Heather Marilyn Heacock

Passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 23, 2016 with family by her side at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Beloved wife of Edward, loving mother to Hollie Shaw and proud grandmother to Natasha Syberg-Olsen. Predeceased by her cherished brother Manley Stark, her mother Kathleen Stark and father Wallace Manley Stark. Heather will be remembered for her vivacity as a teacher of English and piano and for her courage as she endured decades of Multiple Sclerosis-related health complications. The family is grateful for Heather’s loving care in recent years by the staff at the Salvation Army Isobel and Arthur Meighen Manor, where her bright laugh and love of singing was well known. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES – NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) on Wednesday, November 2nd at 1:00 p.m. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MS Society of Canada, the Cancer Research Society or the Salvation Army of Canada.
