John Jesse , Paul , I never thought I would hear these words coming out of my mouth , I was a friend of Alan's , I am very sorry to hear of his passing , it seems like yesterday (1988) when I met Alan , I was a buyer at Tip top Tailors , a very nieve one at that .. Alan represented the Freed and Freed outwear line , An instant connection was born , Alan was a fearless salesman , who had a good story and plenty of time to tell it ..Alan had a watch but I don't think he ever looked at it ...his pursuit of something that interested him always took presidence in his busy day , Some of the best times in my young life were spent with Alan travelling the world for business( and fun ) whether it was in Northern Thailand on an elephant back trek or a reed boat tour from Miamar to Laos , or in Hong Kong at a Kareoke bar he had a magnatism that drew people to him , His spirit and his joy of life is what I amired and will never forget , I try to be more like him he was truely a free spirit .On the day we say good bye to a very dear friend , I will remind you of Alan's priciples , work to live , don't live to work , you can have fun anywhere.
