Obituary of Rev. Dr. Frederick M. Bayliss

BAYLISS, Rev. Dr. Frederick M. Died on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Olive (Spence), loving father of David (Barbara) of Ajax, Ann (Michael) of Mississauga, Douglas (Susan) of Charlottesville, Virginia, devoted grandfather of Hilary, and Graeme; Leah, Olivia, and Adam; Christopher, Shaun, and Shannon. Also survived by sisters Doris Calvery of Toronto and Ila Davis of Nicholls, Georgia. A chartered accountant, Fred was later an ordained minister of the United Church of Canada. He served several congregations in Canada and also overseas as a co-worker with the Presbyterian Church in the Republic of Korea and at Yonsei University Medical Center in Seoul, Korea (using his C.A.). Following his return to Canada, he served in the church's head office, retiring as General Secretary of the Division of World Outreach. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and former colleagues. A memorial service will be held in LANSING UNITED CHURCH, 49 Bogert Avenue North York, on Saturday, October 1st at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will precede the service at 10:00 am. with a reception to follow the service.
