I have had many conversations with Wally over these last few years, during his visits to Longo's Leaside. I have never known him to be anything less than positive, witty, and happy. In fact, his disposition was rather contagious. You had no choice but to smile at his quirky attire, cycling exploits, or inquisitive remarks. He once asked me how many kilometres I walked during my shift each day! He is just one of those people who could find a silver lining or humourus anecdote in any situation.
I hope I can get to where Wally was - 90 years old, on the ball, and eternally satisfied with himself and his life.. and still have the sun shining all around him.
RIP Wally. What a guy.
