Obituary of Anita Louise Carnegie

ANITA CARNEGIE June 30 1914 – August 23, 2016 Peacefully, at the age of 102 on Tuesday. Anita, daughter of the late Abram and Marie Anita Carnegie. Pre-deceased by her sister Kathleen (Robert Dunne) as well as her brothers Norman (Pauline), Jim (Marjorie), her niece Susan Merry (Christopher), and her closest friend of 57 years, Lucy Lyall McMurtry. Fondly remembered by her nephews Jim & Bruce Carnegie as well as Hugh, Susan, Robert, Michael, Anita and Gerald Dunne; her two great-nieces Martha Fell and Sarah Merry, and Linda Turvey and family. Anita retired in 1979 after she enjoyed a 39-year career at Canadian Fuel Marketers Ltd. (Weaver Coal Co.) and was a lifelong devotee of bridge, which lasted until shortly before her death. Recent family visits found her bowling at the Millwood Retirement Residence in May, 2016. A heartfelt thank you to the staff over the past 16 years at 921 Millwood Retirement Residence for their care and kindness to Anita. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W.
