Dear Paul, Tom and families.... On behalf of my Mom and Dad, Martha and Don Mumford, who left this world a little while ago, I would like to extend my condolences to you all in saying goodbye to Jean at this time. I had a number of lunches now and again with Jean and my Mom, and I can tell you with assurance that she was one of my Mom's two or three very best and most respected friends. I feel an ache in my heart too as that amazing generation of great women leaves us behind to carry the torch for them and their ideals of generosity, selflessness and caring. Dear Family, I have such fond childhood memories of Jean & can still hear her joyous laugh ring through our home during bridge club evenings with the gals from St. James Bond United. Jean and Bob were our first neighbours when we moved as newlyweds to Moore Park in 1956. I remember her friendship, her joy and happy disposition.
