We send our prayers to the Howson family on the loss of dear Betty, and offer thanks for a life well lived. When I was the Rector of Christ Church Deer Park whatI remember most of all was Betty's energy. She was always in a hurry - going on to something else - some volunteer activity - someone to visit. I wonder if she ever sat still. Because there was work to do - important work. Most of all I remember her dedication to her church and to her Lord. May she rest in peace and rise in glory and may her Easter faith be ours as well.

Mrs. Howson was a frequent guest at our restaurant "Woodys". She was very predictable as she only ordered the lamb shank every time she came and enjoyed a quiet corner table conducive to the lengthy non-stop interesting and fun conversation shed engage in with her company! It was a delight to watch her enjoy her "Woodys" experience and we thank you so much Betty for your ongoing support and memories. RIP

I am sorry to hear of Betty's passing. She was a great lady. As a fellow Wellesley graduate I can only feel like more nursing art and knowledge has disappeared from this earth. The "older girls" always had some tips and tricks up their sleeves ! My aunt, Dode Elines , always talked of Betty with warmth and fondness. Betty and I were often tennis partners at the B and R when she was in her eighties. I loved playing with her and always admired her energy and empathy. After the games we would sit around chatting on many subjects because her interests ranged far and wide. I am pleased she had the last days at ther beloved cottage with the family. My sympathy to the family. .Unfortunatly I will miss her funeral but my thoughts will be there. I will miss her. Elisabeth Bacque.

In keeping with Betty's vivacious spirit and determined will, to swim 1/2 mile at Balsam Lake, I would like to raise a glass of white wine in her honor. We had a few laughs at the dinner table, where Betty would always have many great stories along with a punch or two on political affairs. You always knew where you stood with Mrs. H. and she was this kind of woman you couldn't help but admire her engagement for life and a never ending spirit to run a great race. She will be missed by all her family, who she dedicated so much for so long. God Bless you Howson's, in particular our friend JAY.
