Dear Janie, Paul and Barb's Family I am so sorry to hear of Barb's death. I have known Barb at St. Peter's for many years. I was involved with her in my role as a clinical nurse specialist on the Behavioural Health Program until I retired two years ago. I continued to visit Barb about once a month after I retired because she was always so happy to see me and she lifted my spirits (by telling me how good I looked) as we sat in the cafeteria or courtyard drinking a diet pop and occasionally a "diet" cookie. Barb was a character with her lipstick, bright purses and clothing, and always wearing jewellery. She will be missed. I am sorry that I cannot come to her visitation or funeral but I have a commitment in Hamilton at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday). I am so glad that she passed peacefully. I was in to see her on July 22nd just before her birthday as I was not going to be able to make it in on July 25th. She was in bed as was often the case in the last few weeks but she was in good spirits. We had a good visit and she had her diet ginger ale but passed on the birthday cupcake that I have brought in although she said she would eat it later. She always spoke very fondly of all of you. All the best. Maureen Montemuro
