Dear Sally,
I have just learned the sad news of Bill's death. I am so very sorry for your and your family's loss.
Elizabeth Kelly mentioned that she had come up for Bill's funeral; I regret not having seen the notice or I would have attended.
What a wonderful, long life you two had together - and what an accomplished and interesting life Bill had.
I send you love and warmest wishes in this time of sorrow.

I worked with Bill many years ago on my first marketing job in Toronto at Kendall Canada. I remember Bill as heart of our sales team and considered him a mentor . I appreciated how he always wrote personal notes to us (before emails ever existed) to recognize us on a particular achievement. I still kept mine after after all these years. I will remember him as a really kind and respectful man. I will remember him fondly. I will offer a prayer for Bill's transition to be with peace and grace. My condolences to Sally and all the family.
