Obituary of Patricia Ostler

PATRICIA ANN OSTLER (née Sczelecki) It is with sad hearts the family of Patricia Ostler announces her passing in her 76th year on Thursday, June 2, 2016 in the warm embrace of her family. Cherished mother of Adam Foran (Vanessa) and devoted grandmother to Olivia and Kate. Patricia is survived by step children Linda Foote (Ken), Wendy Kinsey (Kirk), Laura Ostler (John) and John Ostler (Lori) and their families. Beloved sister of Rosemary Nelson (John), Florence Rowan (Ian), Richard Sczelecki (Debbi), John Sczelecki (Suzanne), Kathryn Mark (Jeff), Lorraine Sczelecki (Jeffrey Gullberg) and Mark Sczelecki and dear Aunt to their families. Predeceased by her husbands William (Joe) Foran (1976) and John Ostler (2000) and parents Adam (2007) and Bernice (2008) Sczelecki. Patricia was young at heart, kind, generous and brave and she faced her illness with strength and determination. She loved to spend time with her family and friends whether it was hosting family gatherings, spending time at Sauble Beach, challenging everyone to a game of Scrabble or travelling. In the last few years, Patricia had the opportunity to realize many of her dream vacation adventures and was grateful for the life she lived. With deepest gratitude to Patricia's Aunts and Uncle and many cousins and friends for your prayers, she was blessed with your care. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES - NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7th and from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8th for visitation. A service will be held on Thursday, June 9th at 10:30 a.m. in ST. ANSELM'S CHURCH (1 MacNaughton Road). In lieu of flowers, Patricia asked that donations be made to support the restoration of St. Michael's Cathedral in Toronto.
