Adrienne Dr Barros posted a condolence
Saturday, December 2, 2017
Your father was my pediatrician from 1972 to 1996. No one can compare to him. I was always afraid of him as a child because he was so tall. I put him through so much always being sick. He saved my life at age 16 when he diagnosed me with Lupus. I will forever be grateful to him, no other Dr could find out what was the problem . He was the most compassionate, yet tough Dr I've ever known. He was truly one of a kind. My heart broke when I looked him up and found his obituary.
My condolences to you and your family.
Love Adrienne

My late father, Jim Oliphant, was fortunate to have your Dad as a KWING roommate for a few short months. I decided I was ready to go back and say hello to the nurses this week and was so saddened to see on the board that your father had passed away. He always greeted me so brightly when I went into the room and made my day. Please know that I am keeping you all in my thoughts. These wonderful tributes show how much he was loved and respected as a doctor.

Rest in peace to the pediatrician I adored and whose treatments and guidance I remember and apply with my children 30 years later. Dr. Anglin was kind and funny. Most importantly he took the time to reassure and support my parents who had immigrated to Canada. We all hold such a special spot in our hearts for Dr. Anglin. Please accept our deepest and most heartfelt sympathies to the Anglin family and friends.

I would like express my condolences to the family of Dr Anglin. I know he touched many lives including mine and my brother Robert. In my case, he actually saved my life when i was about 18 months old and with my brother, helped him when he was in dire health when he was very young as well. He was a man who my parents who were new to this country looked to for caring for their most precious children - and he did so with great care. I wish I had an opportunity to let him know that 2 lives he touched and affected had gone on to attend UCC, both excelling there and on to post secondary education degrees at York, U of T and Harvard and who are both now fathers of 3 children combined. I wanted to personally thank him for giving us the chance to achieve the things we have done. Without his care, we know, none of this would have been possible. With Sincerely Gratitude, Dennis & Robert Garces

To the Anglin children, I regret that I was unable to make the service for Dr. Anglin after missing Mrs. Anglin's. They both loved and respected each other so much, raised the kindest children and were so incredibly kind to us [at the dunfield] all. With great pleasure I got to serve them, learn their preferences and know them better as time went on. Crawford was such a funny and polite man. Mrs. Anglin, a compassionate lady always putting others first. They have a special place in my heart forever and they are truly missed. We are taught to not have favourites but the heart can not lie. God bless them and may they find ultimate peace. Thank you for all you have done to respect their wishes. Sincerely, Ronza

Please accept my condolences on the passing of your father, Dr. Anglin. I did not know him but my husband, Donald Kennedy spoke so frequently of him and held him in such high esteem I wished to pass this on. Don knew Dr. Anglin when Don was a teacher at Whitney Public School. I believe it was Leslie who was his student. Don passed away in February of this year. Before he died we spent a lot of time at hospitals on University Ave. and every time we went past Sick Kids Don would speak of Dr. Anglin! Don had also noticed the newspaper obituary for your mother earlier this year, and set it aside to re-read several times, each time speaking of your father and what a significant personal role model he had been for Don. As one small example, Dr. Anglin recommended a novel, The Cruel Sea by Nicholas Monsarrat to the young Don, and this was always a favourite novel for the rest of his life! In fact I had just purchased a new copy of it for Don to re-read when he had to begin a sedentary lifestyle, which of course triggered a new round of reminiscences of Dr. Anglin. It was the book on the table at the time Don died. So, I most sincerely wish to let Dr. Anglin's family know the depth of the impact he had had on the life and memories of my husband from when he was a young teacher.

My deepest sympathy to Dr. Anglin's family. He was a wonderful, gentle man and I always felt extremely fortunate that he was my children's pediatrician. I'll never forget him giving my first daughter, her first inoculation, and he said to her, "well, this is the first time that someone will hurt you". He was so kind to me, and always told me I was doing a great job. I have thought of him often over the years. I know full well he is with the angels.

Laura, Vickie, Leslie and John, I want you to know I am thinking of you all and send much love and sympathy to you. I was so sorry to see Crawf's death in the Globe. Although my mother Georgina and Crawford were first cousins due to my living in the Maritimes, I wasn't able to keep up with the relatives. I always enjoyed seeing and visiting with both your mother and dad. Last time I saw your dad I sat with him at Pam Bryden's wedding a few years ago. I am sure you will have some wonderful memories of him as I have. Affectionately, Sally

In 1975 we were moving from Windsor to Toronto along with our newborn son. My wife asked a family friend doctor if he knew any pediatricians in Toronto. He gave us Dr. Anglin's name and my wife contacted his office and he took our son on. It turned out that the Anglin's and the Windsor doctor and his wife were friends and had just returned from an overseas trip together. Dr.Anglin was a doctor whose skills and compassion should set a standard for all doctors. My wife ran into several young doctors who had trained under him and they had nothing but praise for him. Every time he saw my son he said that he should be playing football. After reading the obituary I learned he had a passion for the game. My wife and I were always grateful for the time he spent with my son and the care that he provided. He was a gentleman and medicine has lost a leader. You will be missed.

Our sincere condolences to Dr. Anglin's family. I was one of Dr. Anglin's first patients along with my sister Tonni and brother Michael. As well I took my own family to him and my granddaughter. He always made you feel that you were his only patient but he never pulled any punches either. He had a pet name for me and probably the other female patients, it was Flossy. If there was ever a problem, big or small he was always there for you. There was never a time when I was there that he didn't't ask about my Mom and Dad and my sister & brother. I will miss his huge smile & wit. The world has lost a great physician. There will never be another like him. RIP Dr. Angling.

My sincere condolences to the Anglin Families. It was a privilege, a gift to have experienced such an engaging couple, worldly larger than life. They where always together, inseparable it seemed. At the Granite Club, I served on many occasions, special events being ever so happy to see the Anglin's. I was regularly acknowledged through their gracious gratitude to please, embraced by charm each time I saw them. 35 years ago, it seems yesterday when I first met the Anglin's and treasure those special moments with them. The Anglin's where special people in my life, a gem, ageless that left such a lasting impression. Dr. Anglin will be remembered for his extraordinary magnetism temperament likable nature. I am so honored to have embraced conversations with him through a voice of care. May you find peace to know I am with you. Till we meet again....Joseph Souliere.
