Obituary of Elsie Hepburn
HEPBURN, Elsie
March 20, 1925 - May 24, 2016
Elsie passed away peacefully at Arbor Trace, London, Ontario in her 92nd year. Wife of the late James F. Hepburn, for 61 years. Elsie was the fifth born daughter of Reginald and Daisy Talboys. She was predeceased by her five sisters: Nancy Gayton (John), Doreen Crowe (Frank), Joyce Poulter (Howie), Daisy McCallum (Don), and Janet Cleveland (John). Elsie is survived by her sons James, Robert, his wife Kelly, and granddaughters Karyn and Alison, and the many nieces and nephews of Elsie and James. Elsie spent her whole life in the west end of Toronto. After graduating from Runnymede Collegiate, she worked at Canada Life followed by nursing school at St. Joseph's in Toronto. She then became an airline stewardess with Trans Canada Airlines. She was an active member of Parkdale Presbyterian Church and later St. Giles Kingsway Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES - NEWBIGGING CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 27th. Funeral service to be held in the chapel on Saturday, May 28th at 1:00 p.m. Elsie expressed the wish that any memorial donations be directed to St. Giles Kingsway Presbyterian Church, 15 Lambeth Road, Etobicoke M9A 2Y6, 416-233-8591, or to any charity of your choice.
